Guildford and the Waitrose effect

Apparently, living near a supermarket can help boost the value of your home by an average of £22,000.

According to research carried out by Lloyds Bank*, the ‘Waitrose effect' could help to add more than £38,000 to the value of a home, while even discount chains such as Aldi and Lidl could boost your home but £1,333 to £3,926.

As proud owner of a Waitrose and an Aldi, Guildford is a pretty good place to own a home and here’s some of our picks of the market this week.

However, as we edge into autumn, we’re seeing a significant rise in the number of properties marked Reduced Today and this is something we need to address. While this isn’t a new phenomenon - even in a busy market there’s always been a smattering of them - the post-Brexit landscape means they are now outweighing new instructions marked Added Today on a daily basis.
